Soleil Energy, new website

What has to carry over before launch

We checked every page of soleilenergycorp.com against the new site, item by item. Most of it carries over. The list below covers only what matters: content to bring back, plus the forms and tools running behind the current site. Each item shows the current site next to the new one.

Already safe on the new site

Content

Restore goes back on the new site. Your call needs a yes or no from you.

1Office addresses

Restore

Bowie (11102 Marisa Court, MD 20721) and Brentwood (3342 Bladensburg Road, MD 20722) appear nowhere on the new site. Customers look for an address, and Google checks it against your Business Profile.

Fix: add both to the Contact page and the footer.

New site, Contact
New contact page with phone and email but no address

2Client logos

Restore

The "Our Customers" strip on every current page shows the U.S. Department of State, the White House, the Secret Service, the U.S. Marshals, GSA, the Comptroller of the Currency, Pepco, BGE and Delmarva. It is the strongest trust signal you have, and the new site does not show it.

Fix: add a "Who we've worked with" strip to Home and About.

3Real projects

Restore

The current site shows named jobs with photos: Milk and Honey Cafe, DC Dept. of Behavioral Health (35 K St NE), Howard Theatre, St Elizabeth Hospital, Colony South Hotel, plus a federal solar array, a substation upgrade and two network builds. The new Projects page describes types of work but shows no actual projects.

Fix: bring the projects and photos back. From you: one true sentence per project. Several current project cards repeat the same figures ("85,000 sq ft, LEED Silver, 18 months"), so we won't copy those numbers.

4Customer reviews

Restore, with real ones

The new site has no reviews at all. The current site has four, but they all use the same paragraph, so copying them over would look fake.

From you: 3 to 5 real customer quotes, or permission to show your Google reviews.

Current site, Home
Four testimonials with identical text

5NABCEP certification

Restore

The current About and Renewable Energy pages say your solar installers are NABCEP-certified. This is the certification homeowners and solar buyers look for, and the new site doesn't mention it.

Fix: one line on the solar pages and About, once you confirm it's still current.

New residential solar page, no certification

6Power safety standards

Restore

The current Power page names the standards your crews train to: OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, and arc-flash and lockout/tagout procedures. Utilities ask about these. The new page says "safety comes first" but drops the specifics.

Fix: put the standards back into the new "Safety, precision and code compliance" block.

7Warranty and aftercare

Restore

The current Construction page promises warranty service and ongoing support after handover. The word "warranty" doesn't appear anywhere on the new site.

Fix: add it back to the Construction "Support" step, and to solar if you offer workmanship warranties there.

8Technology services

Your call

Two groups of Technology services aren't on the new site: 24/7 Managed Services (NOC/SOC), and the whole Software block (website design, WordPress, mobile apps, web apps, print and branding, social media design).

From you: do you still sell these? If yes, we add them back. If not, they stay off.

9Solar financing partners

Your call

The "Our Partners" strip includes Dividend (Fifth Third Bank), Palmetto LightReach and Acorn Finance, all financing options for homeowners, plus SolarEdge, Q CELLS, SRECTrade and Sol Systems. The new site never mentions financing, and for many homeowners it decides the sale.

From you: which financing options do you offer today? We'll add a short "Ways to pay" section to Residential Solar.

10. Forms, Zoho, chat and tracking

These don't show up as page content, but they are how leads reach you. Each one has to be switched over before the domain moves, or enquiries could stop arriving.

WhatToday on soleilenergycorp.comOn the new site nowWhat we'll do
Enquiry formsTwo WordPress forms (Forminator plugin): the Contact form, and the "1 on 1 Consultation" pop-up on every page.Six forms, one per service (solar, commercial, power, construction, technology, general). For now they go to a test inbox on our side. Before launch Send every form to the agreed team inboxes (not the test inbox), then send a test lead from each form and confirm it arrives.
ZohoYour domain is verified with Zoho. Nothing on the public pages talks to Zoho directly, so the link sits inside WordPress (a form add-on, Zapier, or email forwarding). Not connected.Later Not needed for launch. Leads arrive by email. A CRM connection can be added later without changing the forms.
Website chatA LeadConnector (GoHighLevel) chat bubble ("Hi there! Have a question?") on every page.No chat. Before launch Add the same chat bubble (one script tag). It has been tested, and chats keep landing in the GoHighLevel inbox.
Text-message consentTwo tick boxes: service texts, and marketing texts.Service texts only. Before launch Restore both tick boxes with the current wording, word for word. It matches the GoHighLevel texting registration, so carriers may check it.
Spam protectionGoogle reCAPTCHA on the forms.None yet. Before launch Add Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible spam check, so Zoho doesn't fill with junk leads.
Visitor analyticsAn old Google Analytics tag (Universal Analytics), which Google switched off in 2023. No visits are being measured today.None.Before launch Set up Google Analytics 4 and track form submissions, so you can see which pages bring in leads.
EmailGoogle Workspace (your info@ inbox). Not affected by the website move.No change We keep your email and verification DNS records untouched. We'll also add the two missing email-security records (SPF and DMARC) so form notifications don't go to spam.
Domain and hostingDomain and DNS at GoDaddy, behind a Sucuri firewall, on WordPress.Cloudflare Pages.Need access GoDaddy access for the switch on launch day. The WordPress site stays as a backup until the new one is confirmed.
Other domainssoleilenergy.com (an older, separate one-page site) and soleilinc.com.—Your call Forward both to the new site?
For the developer: form checklist
  1. Change the form recipient from the test inbox to the agreed team inboxes. If you stay on FormSubmit, each recipient must click the activation email once, and the extra inboxes go in _cc.
  2. Restore both text-message consent tick boxes with the exact wording from the current consultation form (non-marketing and marketing).
  3. Add spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile or FormSubmit's captcha), and keep the honeypot.
  4. Add the GoHighLevel chat script: widgets.leadconnectorhq.com/loader.js with the current widget ID.
  5. Add SPF and DMARC DNS records at cutover, so notification emails don't land in spam.
  6. After launch, send one test from each of the six forms and confirm every recipient gets it.
